This is my second skimmer design and the use of the clear riser tube makes the skimmer much easier to tune.

This skimmer is driven by a single modified 802 Powerhead.

The 802 Powerhead was modified by drilling a hole in the bottom and inserting a piece of air line into the pump chamber of the Powerhead.

The Powerhead needs to be mounted near the water surface. This allows it to suck air in before the impeller.

Run the Powerhead in forward mode with the flow reduced as low as it can go.
