The Flying Fox is an omnivorous Cyprinid that is often confused with the Algae eater. The slim body is divided into two colors; the upper half being dark and the lower half being silver. A yellow stripe runs the length of the body. All fins are transparent with a tint of darkness.

Flying Foxes are generally loners and need their space. They generally aren't aggressive and make a good addition to the medium-sized community aquarium. Plants and driftwood are highly recommended, as they spend most of the day resting or grazing. Plenty of swimming space and a neutral pH are also appreciated. Clean, clear water and frequent water changes are essential to the fish's health.

This fish is omnivorous and needs a good supply of vegetable matter in its diet. Live and flake foods are also relished. Breeding and sexing information is unknown.
