This gold-colored fish is attractively blotched with black. It is a predator, and it has an interesting feature; it can extend its mouth like a tubular funnel, creating a
local vacuum that sucks in anything passing by. Therefor it should not be trusted in aquariums with smaller fish. The Spotted Climbing Perch likes a shady sheltered environment, so put in a well planted, not to brightly lit tank that includes floating plants and rocky hidaways.
