The Regal Angelfish is another beautiful fish from the tropical Indo-Pacific. The body is shaped in the usual Angelfish fashion, with verticle bands of yellow, white and purple. The snout and caudal fin are a bright yellow, and the rear part of the dorsal fin is dark purple.

As with most angelfishes, the Regal Angelfish may be hard to acclimatize to the aquarium, but once they are, they are long-lived and nice additions to the reef tank. This fish are aggressive in the aquarium however, and may bite others. They need a very large tank. These Angelfish live a single life, but can be kept in captivity with Butterfly fish.
