The Tompot Blenny is a bottom fish that resembles a mudskipper. Males are bigger than females. The body has alternating dark and light brown patches along it.

These odd fish live in shallow water on rocky shores, where they are easy to observe, but they sometimes can be found in deeper waters as well. The aquarium should contain large rocks and a sandy substrate. This fish lives in beds of Posidonia and near harbors. These fish are coldwater marine, meaning a heater isn't needed.

Tompot Blennies are omnivorous, and become tame enough to eat from their owner's hand. These fish should be kept with others of the same size.
