So I'm looking to buy some type of hood/light strip for my tank to replace the cheap single bulb strip it came with (its 29 gallons approx. 30lx12Wx18D).

Basically I need a cheaper solution that uses atleast two bulbs and has some kind of hood to cover the tank? Really need under a hundred dollars.

Sorry for the noob question.

Are you looking for higher wattage for a planted tank? It's hard to recommend anything not knowing what wattage lighting you are looking into and what you need it for! Try hellolights.com to see if they have any fixtures that might work. If you need something to put the light strip on, look into a glass canopy for your tank.

I also have the 29 gallon with the light that came with it, its not the greatest light! I am thinking of buying a brighter light to replace the light in it already.
