bio balls and ceramic rings?

Hello,

I am just filling up my tank now with RO/DI water. I have a Tom Rapids Pro Series Filter with protein skimmer.
My Tank is a 75 gallon and I have about 75lbs of live Fidji Rock to put in.

Should i remove the Bio-balls and the Sintered Glass from the filter?

Yes remove them and replace with LR rubble!

They become nitrate factories and are junk in general.

if not taken care of properly the will become nitrate factories yes. live rock is much better im slowly getting rid of my ceramic rings with lr in my fluval and i rid of the bio balls a longtime ago
