anyone knwo how to make pleco breeding caves that will look nice unlike pvc pipe? Something i can build myself thats safe and nicer looking.:confused: :help:

you can cover the pvc in pebbles with silicone for a more natural look

Wouldn't long terra cotta pot vases work, if cut in half length wise?

i asked the same thing to a breeder and was told to use these.

thanks for all of you that posted, those were some great ideas, made me think of this person i know that makes clay pots, might be able to make me some similar to the ones on the rosenthal website.
And MG ive seen those square ones at aquabid too, does anyone know hwo to make thsoe? it looks like tile:help: :huh:

These are standard and ideal size caves for zebra plecos. The internal sizes are approximately 3.2 cm wide, 2 cm high, 15 cm long, and the thickness of the slate is around 1 cm.
get slate cut slate and silicon it together.

where can i get slate? and what i just glue it with tank glue?

check the local landscaping shop it should be cheap there.
