I was wondering does anybody know if there are any Super/Blood red oscars available in the U.S.?

Those are the same color as a good quality red oscar, just that there's more covering the body, and you can tell they're being kept under very specific lighting to intensify the color.

I agree on the lighting coment. I would love to see one under differant conditions.

i bought a "ruby red" one not to long back. not nearly as red as those blood red ones. but close. and he/she is still purty small, so we will see if it fades.

You can intensify oscars color with lighting and also by the food you feed them. There is a guy that lives by me that raises them and feeds them blood worms on a daily basis. His glow an irredescent blood red!!! VERY IMPRESSIVE. I would also believe that your water quality will help in the long run.

I agree there is some light enhancment, apparantley, they are in singapore and are very very hard to get outside of there.

they have a really nice, rich color. havent seen any around here, but ill keep an eye out for them.

the short bodied one was pretty ugly though
