Be careful - I have had problems with a festivum. I took it back to the lfs today, in fact. i was told it would be a good companion for my 2 angels in my 96l tank - NOT SO. Apparently, they get on well with angels but only in large tanks. Mine was very aggressive and tore the angels' fins. It was only a young one at 2.5" or so (same size as the angels). However it didn't bother any of the other fish, although the only other similar sized fish were a nocturnal and quite inactive marbled syno and a starcrown peckolita. probably best to avoid other medium sized midlevel fish or any other cichlids unless its a quite big tank, like 55gal or more. They are not fussy about water parameters and will get to around 4 - 5" (some sites and sources will say 8" but this is really only true of wild specimens) females are larger than males.
