Mysterious Betta Death

My sister who I gave a betta to had it for 2 months then it mysteriously perished 1 day when she went to check on it. And I would like to find out why it died it may have been internal parasites but not to sure, she also may have been overfeeding, causing additional stress to the fish by putting it by the tele. So I dunno.:huh:
 
what size tank was it in? was there a heater? a filter? did your sister do water changes and clean the gravel? did she test the water after it died for ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates? how old was the betta - they only live around 3 years usually. did it have any symptoms?

if you don't give us any information it's kind of hard to figure out what went wrong. . . .
 
Oh, she had it in a marina latching bowl for the cat heaterless,filterless and she hasnt tested the water for anything. So ya...
 
well, i think the mystery is solved then.
