I was at petsmart browsing at their fish today. Took at look at their Rubberlip plecos and see one that just does not look right. I was pretty sure it was the same as the one I got from them a year ago, not a rubberlip, but a similar species that only grows to just over 2 inches. I just had to bring him home so I can take a closer look and compare him to my other one and the photos on Planet Catfish to see if he really is the same species. I'm waiting for him to calm down so I can compare, but I am pretty sure he is the same. These guys are supposedly very rare and now I might have 2!!!

Woofy, it is similar to yours.

He came out to much on an algae wafer so I got a good luck and compared him to my other one and to the pics on Planet catfish. He appears older than my other one because the edging on his fin is less pronounced and he is a hair bigger.(The fin's edging fades with age) But he is definetly the same species. The actual species is shown in the link below. It was unnamed up until about a month or so ago.

As he gets adjusted to his new home his color gets a little better every day, he is looking more and more like the other one. I don't know how I will tell them apart if this keeps going! They have a very similar personality too. These little guys are awesome.
