i have a 30g now and am using it for FW, but im getting a 55 and moving all the stuff from the 30g tank into the 55 (I can use the 30).....do you know of any reliable suppliers for cheap equipiment??

I agree the 30 gal would be great!!! But take your time getting equipment as you will get what you pay for!!! No need to buy a pinto when you can save for the Caddy!!

i dont as i am in the UK..possibly search good old fleebay or keep an eye on local classified papers...

So, are you thinking of having a new tank aswell as the 30? or instead mate?

What are your plans and thoughts?

Niko

hey, thanks for the feed back...

I decided that I am going to use the 30g...
For right now I am thinking of a fish only tank, as i get more expereniced I will slowly build it into a reef tank

Here are my plans ans far as equipment, live rock, fish and substrate.

Filter: Aquaclear 70 and some sort of canister filter (havent decided yet...suggestions??)

Live Rock: Fiji rock from here..(seems like a good deal, tell me if im wrong) http://www.aquatictech.com/livestock.html

Salt mix: Im not sure yet... what do you guys think??

Substrate: Aragonite mixed with live sand

Heater: Probably an aquaclear but im still not sure... reccomendations would be great

Hydrometer: Im not sure what type it is, buy my LFS uses it in all of their tanks ($15)

If anyone is selling any equipment pease let me know!

BTW... The only other tank that will be running besides this is my 55g (FW)...

For salt I like reef crystals, heater I would go just about anything titanium I use via aqua, and lighting I would just use standard NO flor. so that you can save for a good setup when you switch to a reef as fish have no real lighting requirements.

For a fish only or a reef??
