I was just wondering if it would overheat my 29gal. The 150watt i have now is not doing exactly what i want. This is because the house temp is set at 64 and it doesn't go up ( except for in the summer then i have the opposite problem). Anyway i was wondering if the bigger wattage heater would keep the temp more stable instead of bouncing 4-5 degrees a day.
Is vis-therm a good heater?

Yes, that heater will work. Design-wise, it works the same way as a 100 watt heater, just puts out more watts, so it'll heat the water faster. I've had a couple visi therm heaters and they've worked fine.

Visi-therm is great. If a cold room is the issue, I would double up on two lower wattage ones.
I would say it would work, but I'll also point out that a visi-therm stealth 100 watt heater is rated to keep a 30g aquarium at 18f above ambient temperature. In your case that would be about 82f. A visi-therm deluxe 150 watt is rated to do the same in a 40g aquarium. The stealth 150 watt is rated to keep 45g aquariums at 18f above ambient.
A bouncing temperature could be an indication of not having enough water circulation.

It is located right beside the filter about 1 1/2 -2 away.

x2.
This is also a contingency in the event one heater dies.
