I have purchased a female Kribensis and added it to my newly established community tank. It is currently sharing with 4 Black Neons and two Harlequin Rasbora. It will soon be sharing with 6 Black Neons, 6 Harlequins and 1 Bristlenose Pleco. Any opinions on this setup? Will the Kribensis thrive on her own without a mate? PH is 7.5 BTW.

It really depends on the fish. I have one male that is shredding the fins off of the cories and other bottom-feeders. The females seem to be fine with the other fishes (including cories, etc.). I currently have them at a pH of 7.6, they are able to tolerate any pH, as long as it is stable.

The female is currently in a tank without a mate, and she's been separated from the male for a month or two... Nothing different in her attitude, except that she is now not aggressive and has developed a rounder belly.

Again, that's just my experience.

hmm... think I'll take my chances without a mate unless a problem arises with behaviour. Any1 care to disagree? :)

I was looking to do the same also.
I have a similar setup, how about your temperature?

Mine is about 79f, I am unsure as to whether this suits all occupants?
