Just a roll of filter floss.
Dang I just love being in the GTA area. 4 Big Al's all within driving distance.

wouldnt mind them opening stores around me. they sound better then most lfs and big box stores.

The thing that bothers me about Big Al's is although it is a great LFS and I have bought most of my fish stuff there, is that it is a Canadian company we pay more for stuff than you guys in the states do. It really makes me mad when I look at Al's.com and Al's.ca and see the difference in prices.

for the most part, that is a function of exchange rates.
Big Al's is buying goods from American and European suppliers. The exchange going both ways is a killer.
Its typical of US vs Cdn prices.

I go to the Barrie one occasionally, we have bought all our tanks and stands there the Boxing day sale was fab we got a API test kit for $19 when it's normally $35 (see prior note about US, Canadian price differences grrr)
I still like my small town LFS over Big Al's for fish and bits n bobs though.

Hamilton, Oakville, Dundas, Barrie are the ones I frequent
