After some research I've decided to start a 20 gallon brackish with just one F8 (Gf saw one at the LFS and HAD to have one). I've kept African and Amazon freshie predator tanks for years and had a 55gal rift lake tank as well, but I'd rather be safe than sorry here. The tank was set up last night with live aragonite reef sand (packed in seawater-which I added to the tank) and a small amount of limestone rockwork. Currently fishless cycling with a dead shrimp. Can I get away with leftover rift lake salt in the future, or stick to marine? Would snails and raw shrimp be sufficient as far as diet is concerned? Are there any inverts I could get later on that the F8 won't eat? Am I missing anything? I've read lots of info regarding these questions, but I'd appreciate opinions anyway. Thanks!
