Substrate for my cories? Pls Help!

I have some cories in my tank, and my gravel is medium-largish, but with rounded edges. I am thinking of switching to sand, but I don't know what kind is the best to get for cories.

Different sources say pool filter sand, or Tahitian moon sand, but I have heard that both of these can be damaging to cories.

The sand needs to be
Cheap
Available in small quantities (3-5 lbs)
Fine and Soft enough for Cories to dig in safely

Any ideas?
Does anyone know if sand is available through Wal-mart or Meijer?

Help, please!
I am planning to get the sand later today, if I can.
 
I think kittylitter is packed with chemicals, but what do I know? :huh:

Thats an oxymoron!

Most bags that size will be at your LFS, where the prices are high.

I just converted all my tanks to Pool Filter Sand, 50 pound bag for $5. You might have some left over, but at that price, who cares?

its good for adding some every now and then to replace any that you may suck up when you go over the sand to get any fish crud.
