Is it possible to have 0 phos and high silica? Less than a month ago I had 0 on each but I am quessing my phos remover did what it was not suppose to do, release back into the water. Now my Phos still level 0 but my silica is blue which is not even a color on the scale which is yellows and greens. I did a water change and replaced the remover, but what I do have (Tropic Marin) does not state it removes silica only says phosphate removal. Do all phosphate remover also remove silica?

Most, if not all, phosphate removal products you can buy also remove silicates from the water column aswell...

I would say, with replacing the media, you should find your silicates going back down again..

You need to be using an iron based resin like Phos-pure/phoslock/or Rowaphos. The iron based products don't usually leach anything back into the water. However, All ion exchange resins will reach saturation and need replacement or recharge. For this reason I replace my resins no later than 30 days no matter how good the test results are.
