So I went with a 75Gal for my first tank. Don't listen when they tell you a used tank/filters won't have to go through the whole cycle process...We started with 18 - 6 Red Eye, 6 Head & Tail Light tetras and 6 Tiger Barbs. After 10 days and no spikes in amonia, they tell us it's OK to add more.......... WRONG!!!!!!!!! We lost about $100 worth of fish - but Goldie survived! (pic attached) Gave the Tiger Barbs to a friend, still have the Red Eyes. Taking it slow now and AFTER the cycle is comlete, plan to add some Angles and build from there.

Thanks for the feedback -
I've found a LFS I trust - (Aquatic Critters in Nashville) But they are the type that if he isn't comfortable selling me a fish, he'll tell me. I was looking at a blue Garaumi (sp?) and he steered me away from it because he didn't think it was very healthy. Said he wouldn't put it in his tank. I go NOwhere else now.

I've now added
2 Angles,
6 Rasboras
10 Black Neon Tetras
1 Red Tail Shark
1 Chocolate Pleco (Wonka)
And will add a Roseline shark this weekend.
