Sand, upgrading tank.

How do all?

I'll be switching tanks next week and have a quick question about the substrate. Should I transfer all of the sand from my old tank and mix it with the new sand or should I only put a couple of cupfulls in the new tank?

I'm sure I read somewhere that it shouldn't be all of it?

No mate...dont want to be using the old substrate..it is going to be full of nastys, dirt, crap, detrius...Just scrape a few cup fulls off the top of your old tank and spread it over the new layed sandbed....

yea just use some to seed the new sand dont ever use more than half unless u clean it completely.
