28 gallon Bowfront stocking

:help: I will be buying this tank in the next couple of weeks, but need stocking suggestions as I am brand new to this hobby and would rather not mess this one up. This board is great and I am so glad to have found such good information here!

I am pretty open to any and all suggestions. My 5 year old daughter loves glassfish, so I would like to have some of those. For the rest, any brightly colored and active fish would be ideal and one "Show" fish - an angelfish maybe?

Thanks again! Also, this tank will be planted so any "hard to kill" plant suggestions would also be appreciated.

The tank will be cycled before I add any fish, sorry if that wasn't clear in my original post. A friend is going to give me some of her gravel for a fishless cycle.
