I am going to try to grow Java Moss in one of my aquariums. I would like to attach it to a piece of the driftwood and I would like to see the moss cover the driftwood. I have done some research and it seems Java moss is a good candidate for my tank. Right now I am running eight 17W fluorescent lamps I think they are in the 7500K range. I run the lights form 2:00PM to 10:00PM, is this enough light for the moss to grow?

Do I need Co2?

That should be fine. Java moss isn't a very demanding plant, it can even grow in a cup of water in a window sill. All you need to do is tie it to the wood with some thread or fishing line. Co2 should not be necessary. What are you running 8 lamps? What size tank is this? You should be fine with what you are planning on doing. :)

Thanks, I thought it would be pretty staright foward but wanted to run it by AC.
