Well i know ya'll always here it and stuff, but i was just amazed.

I went to walmart today to get some gravel (its pretty cheap there). While i was there i was just going to stop to look at the fish wasn't planning on buying tho, lets just say there was alot of floating fish. Many of the tanks had ich. Anyways i was getting my gravel and i hear all this talking as i look up theres not one not two not three not four but FIVE people that work there trying to get 1 FISH. End Result? A Maintenance guy contracted by walmart got it for them.

There was this guy there buying fish, hes like i'll have some of those there and 2 of these. im sure by now his half of his fish are dead seeing as he didn't bother to think hey maybe they are in separate tanks for a reason? The girl was of much help "All i know is the puffer fish are aggressive"

They also had a bowl there filled with about 20-25 dead fish, just sitting there.
I was disgusted :(

How about when your passing by and the teenage workers are taking the small gold fish and guppys and putting them in the oscar tank, just to laugh at them get eaten....no wonder they have no profit not only do half the fish die the ones that do make it are getting feed to other fish! (I'm not against feeder fish...but in the store come on!!!!!)

sounds like my local pets at home. selling baby oscars to kids. selling dyed fish. selling baby crayfish as shrimp, and the number of fish who look like they have TB is unbelieveable. the list could go on and on. makes me so mad are allowed to get away with treating fish like this, yet if it was the hamsters people would go crazy. i do love asking the staff questions though just to see the blank look on their faces.

Am I the only one that has never seen a Wal-Mart with a fish department in it? Well, pet fish anyway.
Lived in Tennessee, and now Bay area...

You guys can calm down now. Walmart IS officialy getting rid of their fish department. But still stell aquariums ect.

You can find some of their wall tanks on ebay =]
