How and where to get a cheap 125g tank?

I am currently in the process of saving up for a 125g for my two baby Oscars. The Petsmart nearby always seems to have a 125g plus a stand for about $500. Is this a good price for a tank and stand? Are there any other places that I should check out? I'm a college student so "a lot of money" has become a rather unfamiliar concept. My LFS also has tanks but they are so over-priced. Also, I intend to get other accessories separately.
 
Check out Craigs list for your area.

Hit all the yard sales and pet ads in local papers.

Spend countless hours on E-bay.
 
craigslist (as mentioned above) is an invaluable resource. i found a 100g tank for 50 bucks once on there.

I'm not very handy but I do have access to help and some power tools. I'm asumming the stand is being discused here...
 
If you cant find one locally, then the petsmart one sounds good.
 
I've been checking out craig's list and other places you guys mentioned on here but no luck yet. It seems like some people have the tendency to mutiply their tank size by 10 and then put a dollar sign in front of it.
