I've waited a bit to make an introductory post, but here it is.
I'm a 49 year old male and live in the Pacific Northwest. As a kid I kept a couple of aquariums--back in the buy tank, buy fish, throw 'em in and stir days.
I left the hobby-came back-and have kept a 20gal for about six years now. I will say that it's been only in the last few months where I really got motivated and started to learn about the hobby. I felt my fish deserved better, and I was tired of rolled eyes from the LFS guys as I asked yet another stupid question.
At any rate, bought a pair of Angel fish a couple of months ago, and thought they deserved a nicer home. So... I am a month and a half into a new 55gal SeaClear acrylic. It is planted, with DIY CO2, and I think I've reached the end of a successful cycle. It's been interesting and fun--and I'm glad I came across this forum. Because it's certainly helped to read the experiences of others.
I look forward to taking part in the forum with you all. I'm glad to be here.
