What can I plant in my 60G tank? There are large cichlids and barbs that seem to destroy everything in there. I tried anubias yesterday, read they wouldn't eat it, they didn't, they destroyed it. I don't the names of what I have tried but there has been a few, I need something very tough. ????
Thanks

Seriously, the way large ciclids eat, dig and generally destroy everything I don't think you're going to have much success with any live plants.

A friend of mine keeps convicts and other cichlids and he has great luck with hornwart. Of course he just floats it on the top of the tank but it seems to grow great for him and provides lots of coverage on the top.

i've had cichlids destroy anubias and completely demolish any type of aquatic moss... but they left my java ferns alone. maybe you can try that. bolbitis, too.

What kind of cichlid? I have had some luck with an unknown crypt, anubias, and lots of java fern with some N. cylindricus and black ruby barbs. I just have to try to figure out where they're not digging and plant there. Then move the plants when they get buried. Java fern seems to be indestructible and inedible, but it takes a long time to get growing well.
