Hey everyone im new to fish tank keeping and i just started a fishless cycle and like an idiot i added about 3 and a half cap fulls of ammonia (i didnt know i was suppose to put drops lol).I let it run for about 2 days and its at about 7-8 ppm.

Now on my 3rd day its still the same so i decided to do about a 35% water change (dont know if that was a good thing or bad?) still the same 7-8 ppm.Should i just let it take its course till it drops down or should i do a 100% water change and start over? Any suggestions? If you need more info i will gladly let you know

I am sure you will get other posts, but I would do a major change about 90% and then remeasure.

Will do tnx guys, yeah my card only goes to 8 but mine coulda been a lil higer,i just checked now it looks like it could pass for 6 ppm, gonna change water and check again later

I ended up doing roughly about an 80% water change.I shoulda kept an eye out on the topic, i did it b4 you posted the reply.I got the ppm down to like 1.0

Using a dropper how much ammonia should i add? btw its a 29 gallon
