I am looking for something i can't put in my 10 gallon tank that will be ok with convict fry when they are put in there and will clean any extra food that the fry doesn't eat any suggestions???

How big are you going to let the Convict fry grow in the 10 gallon tank? If your not gonna let them get that big, a group of four Cories would be great. There are many species of Cories to choose from, but I would just suggest not to get Pygmy or Dwarf Cories (your Cons might be mean to them because they are so small), and Panda Cories.

I second shrimp and snails. No risk of them damaging the fry, and in a little grow out tank like that, they'll keep things clean and tidy without adding much in the way of their own wastes.
 
Not to be a smarta##, but why do you want to raise convict fry? They are so common pet stores won't even give store credit for them, and supply is almost always greater than demand. Granted, it's always great to raise a batch of fish from tiny fry, but you have to consider what to do with them when they outgrow the tank. Then there's the consideration of the next spawns. Most cichlids will spawn at least several times once they start, though they usually take a break after producing 4-5 broods (several hundred more fry from each).
I would suggest a predatory fish for population control, a raphael catfish would be a good choice for a 10 gallon tank soon to be overloaded with excessive numbers of fry.
 
Well i am raising them as feeders most likely but i probably will keep a few for my bigger tank which will be all females or males so it doesn't get overloaded, plus it will be my first time breeding fish so it will be a new experiance for me, and it will be pretty much impossible to screw this up.
