I have had three platty, two cories, a betta, and a placo for about three or four weeks. When I bought one of the platies, I thought she was pregnant but she has not given birth yet. I have been observing the beta pick on her and bite her tail, but today I was surprised to find her in a vertical position slowly bouncing around the tank floor. Her tail fin has been bitten and looks bad and her tail is also white from the end of her belly back. I am worried about her and I know this is not healthy for her. What is wrong? Is she infected or sick? What can I do to keep the beta from picking on my other fish? Thank you!
