Ghost shrimp

I thought one of my ghost shrimp had ich. I got all my ghost shrimp from the same place but some look difffrent. Some look like they have ich others have some red on the end of there feelers and red dots on their tails.

There are a number of different species of shrimp sold as "ghost shrimp". All are collected in the wild, and it isn't unusual for more than one species to be caught together. Occaisonally juvenile prawns (longarm shrimp) are mixed in, they look quite similar to other species when small. One species, Macrobrachium rosenbergii, will eat other shrimp, and eventually fish as well, if it survives in the aquarium. M. rosenbergii grows to nearly 12".

I did see one of my shrimp eating some of another shrimp. Yesterday I noticed one shrimp whos head fell off and another dead one that was intact. I couldnt find my net and it was snowing. Today when I looked in theres only part of one dead one. I guess I will have to keep an eye on them and make shure the fish arent getting atacked. I guess if a shrimp seems to be getting big enough to eat one of my neons I will throw it in with the goldfish.

Anyone got any good shrimp sites that will help me id my shrimp?

Petshrimp.com may be helpful, check the shrimp varieties section first. I'd strongly recommend searching the forum before posting questions though, the rules are strictly enforced on that site.
