WHAT KIND OF GOURAMI IS THIS?

This is my friends gourami, at first I thought it was a betta, but she said it came out of the gourami tank and upon closer inspection, turns out to be one . I've never seen a long finned gourami.

thats a male paradise fish. they fight as aggressivly as male bettas, so make sure he is the only gourami in the tank

he's with 2 blue gouramis and she says they never fight

they may not fight now, but they may in the future, especially since they are blue gouramis, some of the most aggressive gouramis.

I've found male paradise to be fine with gouramis - they just have problems with other paradise fish. I like these guys a lot - personality similar to a cichlid. They can eat small fish like neons, but that depends upon the particular male and how old/big he is.

I had a blue paradise with a blue gourami awhile back. They would fight off and on. Nothing really serious but then again the Blue Gourami was 1 inch bigger.

i have a thing for the labyrinth fish, and i have a bunch of gouramis and bettas at home... i'm actually getting some albino paradise fish soon! i just wanted to say what a great fish! he's pretty!
