Could do with putting a few ltr of water in tank but struggling for RO water til tomorrow. Any suggestions?

Don't really want to have to use water straight out tap but if i need to would it be ok if i did a water change as soon as i get my RO water? Would it be better if i boiled it? Should i use the chlorine remover normally used for freshwater tanks? Would rainwater out of my waterbut be a better choice? Or should i go drive round a few fishy shops and try find some proper RO water?

Any ideas welcome.

Thanks for the quick reply mate...must be about 3am where you are???

Tested for nitrate and nitrite. both zero.
PH was about 7.3,
Not tested for ammonia, will do that now.
Wish i had a phosphate test, must get one asap.

yea its 2:10am....lol ima insomniac...lol
looks ok so far...phosphate and ammonia are the biggies.

Ammonia comes out as 0.1
Not sure i really want to risk it if i can't test for phosphate.
Salinity is just rising above 1.024 ( about halfway between 24 / 25)
If the salinity is ok then i'm gonna wait till i get proper RO.

PS. Sorry you're not sleepin but glad you're awake LOL

Asking again, but is it okay that I'm using tap water for my SW tank? Ammonia-0 nitrites-0 nitrates-0 phosphates-0 ph 7.8ish. Will my salt make it go up? Its salt not reef crystals.
