ok i bought a yellow pussey coral a few months ago and the man told me it would filter feed or something like that, just take its food from the water.
But its decreased in size and doesnt come out as much.
So how do i feed it? i dont really understand how to feed it brineshrimp juices.
Thanks.parrotman

i had never heard that name before.... and to tell you the truth, although i found a lot of um.... ahem... pictures when searching for a picture of it on google.... i didnt find anything i was looking for... but i am pretty sure what you are talking about is a colt coral... (cladiella sp)
if so, feedings isnt really necessary... but there are a lot of things that can harm it such as poor water and lighting. if you tell us more about your tank we may be able to figure out what the problem is.
thanks, and good luck!

ahhh
a carnation coral. yes, they do need to be fed and most of them die an a home aquarium. they feed on phytoplankton such as DT's phytoplnakton. what hav eyou been feeding?

A way I found to make sure my certain corals were getting fed was by mixing the food with water and putting into a syringe and then gently squirting it at whichever coral you want to "target" feed.

No i havn't been feeding it, proabaly why it was shrinking..
But ive just gone to the fish store and got some marine snow, says its for tubeworms and filter feeding inverts. It's got plankton in it.
Thanks for all your help

that was not off topic!!
i was mearly WARNING others not to search for the coral on google is all... lol

marine snow may work, although it honestly isnt the best product. the problem with all those synthetic products or at least the dead ones are it doesnt always contain full pieces, but instead, fragments of the plankton, this may make some pieces too small for the coral so it jsut rots in your tank. it will work for some time, but it would be better to buy DT's live phytoplnakton. also, carnations are pretty much nonphotosynthetic, so keep up your feedings. not many survive in an aquarium longterm.

yea it will probably eat some of the marine snow but those kind of corals take better to phytoplankton.

Its been starved for months, i'd suspect it'd eat anything! lol.
