one of my otos is kind of fat is thins normal he has a pot belly.
Depends on how big the belly is. A well fed oto has a big belly. When they are done with the brown algae, they have to adjust to different food. During that time they look thin. As soon as they find another food source, they will carry their big belly again ;).
Of course, if the belly gets round like a marble, there might be some disease involved. Hard to tell without a pic.
