True! I added a mayo jar of onyx sand to see what it looks like underwater, and now he only poops in the jar! :cool:

I just thought of something, Heady, maybe it's your pleco's way of telling you what he thinks of the onyx sand.

Very interesting..you might be on to something there. Would definetly make cleaning up after the "poop-factories" alot easier.

Seriously no joke! He really was crapping in the jar!! No other pleco poop in the tank, except right close to the jar, so it looks like he just missed!! :)

If I had thought of that trick; getting the pleco to poop in a jar, they might not have caused such a problem in my tiny tank.
I read on a fish forum too late that they shouldn't be in anything under 30 gallons. I had mine in a five gallon, which turned into a septic tank. They jar trick might have saved the day...... I could have emptied it every day.......
