what are some species of reccomended fish that will eat the decaying plant matter that has fallen or broken off live plants in the aquarium but wont eat the actual plants themselves...thanks.

snails are great for this. my ranhorn snails will go crazy after a dead plant but will leave the live plants alone.

My red ramshorn will eat decaying plant. If your plant gets a bit week they may start to nibble on it, but a healthy plant they wont touch other than the algae that may be growin on its leaves.
