i am currently looking at fully automated co2 systems for my aquarium so all i have to do is set it and be done with it. i have the 2L diy contraption set up as a temporary thing, but would like something nicer. i found this one here and would like your thoughts on it.

is it priced reasonably and is it a good brand? perhaps you know of a better deal? also, looking to eventually replace my current pc fixture with something less bulky and that i can add legs to it to raise it above the aquarium a bit so i can feed my fish a little easier. thinking of the aqualight by coralife. plus, the fan is noisy, would the fans on this be quieter, if any of you have had any experience with these to be able to tell me?

I have two of those regulators and haven't had any problems as of yet. IME they are very solid units. The silicon tubing will work, but you may want to change it out in the future for some that is more "CO2 proof", and won't become brittle with age and CO2 exposure (can't remember exactly what it's made of). Seems priced right to me. Depending on what size of cylinder you go with you'll need to tack on extra for that and the cost of filling it (around $10 to fill a 5lb.).

I'm a big fan of the coralife freshwater aqualights. I've got 2 24" 1x65watt 6700K ones over my 55 and the plants love 'em. They don't have fans so can't help you there. The Current USA satellites are good to, but you'll know for sure the cooling fan is running. The nice thing about the currents is you can get dual daylight bulbs that are both 6700K and 10000K.

i have a hamilton right now and the fan is kinda noisy, just wondering if the fans on those were any quieter or if its just the nature of the beast. the unit i saw on liveaquaria is too much out of my budget for almost 400 bucks, plus shipping on top of that. this one seems more reasonably priced, but if i can find something cheaper but still of good quality it would be sweet. right now just trying to get ideas.

The co2 setup is a good price. Im pretty sure I paid as much just for the regulator and ph controller, but still well worth it.

Here's another excellent company to checkout. The don't have a fully automated system, but sell the components to build one. I've bought a bunch of stuff from them and have had no complaints.
