I havent seem people being mean to you...

There are a lot of serious hobbyists on here and sometimes we are very passionate about helping with issues we see, along with the issue being asked about.

all I can say is don't be offened. we do not mean to offend you at all, most of the time we are just being blunt with you. many of us are very serious hoibbists, and get a bit jaded from having to deal with newb who make the same mistakes all the time. once you give out the same advice about 10 times a day, you tend to stop trying to soften up your words.

As a function of this forum being on the internet, you have to understand that many of us don't get out much, have no social skills and lack a sense of tact. I'd change that if I could, but I can only be responsible for my own conduct.

In other words, grow a thicker skin; if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen etc. etc.

Sorry, but that's just the way it is on the web.

I've noticed it also. Most people are really nice and really helpful, but there are a few who have no qualms what-so-ever about ridiculing people who are just here to learn.

Furthermore, the "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen" cliche is an example of the attitude I'm talking about. Those kinds of statements are helpful in no way.

It may not have been too helpful, but it's an accurate reflection of the way things are on the net. Even here (one of the friendliest forums around), people are sometimes curt, brusque, short, or even downright demeaning. All I'm saying is that one must learn to take the bad along w/ the good.

Oops - didn't notice that this was the "welcome wagon" forum. [/hijack]

ROFL KATELYN X - I hope you find this to be as helpful a place as I do - welcome.
