any advice

Cool tank ! You could look at maybe creating a little bit more asymmetry - more plants on one side, more rocks on the other.

I still like it though :)

Really, it boils down to two things:

Are the fish happy?

Are you happy?

What we think shouldn't matter!

But having said that....

(You knew that was coming!)

I'd find some other decorations; the ones you have, IMO, detract from a freshwater tank (I'm assuming thats what you have), with the corals and such.

Get rid of the bubbles. I'll admit, when I started out I had them, but they got "old" (to me). Maybe if they were behind a plant or something instead of being out in the open as they are...

As Coler said, a little less symmetry. Mother Nature is messy, things are rarely neat and in place!

Don't take my comments to heart or badly; just that I like a Natural appearance to my tanks!

For the record...there is nothing ghastly in, or about, your tank :)

As Aardvark says, it's all about what you like yourself in terms of decor.

Just a suggestion....since it appears to be a Malawi or African tank, I'd add some rockwork instead of the coral. They live in rockwork in the wild (well Mbuna do...)....so it might be nice to try to mimick that in your tank. :)

The tank looks really nice as is, but I thought I'd suggest the rock...

Its very bright too!

I also would go for a more A-Symmetrical look. I would also ditch the green plastic plants and the pink coral thingies. It looks super fake, even in a small online photo. No offense!

Maybe if you look at some other peoples' tanks in the photo forum, you'll get some ideas!
