I vote for sky lights. Those tubes in the ceiling and the shadows make me think there's a lot of natural light in the room.

They look like standard All Glass 15 watt'rs to me!!

Lighting is the easy part... How does he do his weekly pruning? He must have to put on his scuba gear each time just to trim his Java moss!:D

if you change the number in the file name, you can see more shots.
For example

http://www.adana.co.kr/images/e/7.jpg

Using 7.jpg instead of 11.jpg

There are 41 shots all together.

This is a nice view. Kind of eliminates the 10g theory!

Is that Takashi Amano? It looks like him and a couple of those tanks look like his work.

Makes me want to take my pics of the net! I really like the tanks with only one or two plants covering the whole tank. Especially the ones that look grassy. Awesome.

That is amazing. Now I realize that my problem is my tank is too small, I need one I can swim in. That would make all the difference!;) That guy has talent.

It's definately not Amano, the guy in that pic doesn't look like him, and also the website is in Korean, any Koreans in this forum?

Squaresoft art man himself? I think not ;)

As for him posting on these forums for DIY CO2, I dont think that would be needed anytime soon.

If thats a room just for his fishtank (The walls look like a padded institution IMO) imagine his bathroom... Bettas in the toilets

All those pics are of Amano's tanks..so logically, the guy in the pick would be.. Amano himself.

he looks the same in the pics...the tank is his style...there are angel fish in the lower left side of the pic...with a 3 inch diameter...eh...he is the only person I know that does huge tanks so well...dont know how it couldnt be Amano...plus all those tanks are his...

Hmm how does he change the water on that thing????? My god, imigine the ammount of buckets.. im guessing its a 300 gal tank? Also about the trimmings.. I dont believe he does.. I really cant imagine a person trimming plants in a tank that big.. he probably has it set up where by tuning when lights go on and off, amount of fertlizer and co2 where in no new growth takes place yet has enough elements to keep the present leaves green and healthy.. Simply put, stagnating the growth

slipknottin

Im sure he does plenty of work on that tank.

Water changes can be automated fairly easily. If memory serves right, he advocates changing some 30% of tank water weekly. No way hes doing that with buckets. :D

that thing looks more like 1000g+, it's quite deep. as far as maintenance, i think he's strategized on that aspect--notice how many slow-growers are selected, anubias, ferns, moss. they don't require much work at all.

Now, if we take another look at the photo, you can easily see this person has a real problem to solve.....

This website has aqua design Amano in the top left corner.

interesting, it looks like the water circulation is only from an overflow box, and the spraybar on the other side. Wouldn't that cause a lack of circulation in most of the tank?

I think I want that size tank, only laid over on its side so it's really wide - lots of space for a nice silver Aro to swim in!

While we're on the Amano topic...anyone entering the competiton this year? (Or entered...deadline for enteries has passed I think).

If you dont know, I'm on about the Amano planted tank competition 2003. And entery deadline was 2 days ago I've just been informed...I'm gonna start on my tank for next year soon enough.

Check the website:
www.adana.co.jp. I guess thats the Japanese version of Korian site you have.

Maybe when my tank matures next year. BTW, when is the AGA's contest?

and would anyone be interested in a AC planted tank contest?

i am.. If they do have a contest and have money involved, ill enter the contest

SERIOUSLY! If I could get a complete, *NICE* CO2 system from an AC contest, id be more than happy to enter!
