fertilizer question

thinking of adding some plants to my tank. What are some good fertilizers I could use that won't bother the oscars or cause algea problems?

You can use the florish line of ferts. Any fertilizer you use can cause algae if you dont have enough plants or the right conditions for the plants to eat the ferts up. I have also used big als ferts (way cheaper than florish) and they have been good. Just make sure you dont over fertilize or you will have an algae bloom.

Ummm...Unless you have very laid back oscars, they may not allow you to add plants. Many oscars 're-arrange' the plants to their liking, usually by ripping them up. Just a precautionary note. I'd get some anachris and see how they react before I spent money on ferts and such.
