Aragonite sugar grade, oolithic sand....Works well to balance pH and looks stunning...A real natural looking substrate...

I also thought aragonite is best. I just thought i'd toss this question up to see what you guys think. anyway i bought 2 bags of seachem pearl beach aragonite yesterday. It's bloody expensive!! Anyway there is two variations from seachem. I think im gonna swop the one i bought for the seachem Meridean aragonite. (It looks much nicer) Which do you think is better, I cant really tell from the explination on seachem's website.:)

well, the only real main difference between the two is that the Pearl is more of a chipped gravel based substrate than the other, meridian, which is an actual sand...Hence the differences in elemental concentrations...

I got the "Indo Specific" Live Sand (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=7318&N=2004+113554) mixed with some LS my LFS sold me when I first got the tank. I wasn't that knowledgeable then, and just used whatever he gave me... so I don't recall. It's about the same grade anyway.

Would it hurt to get some Aragamax "Oolitic" Sand (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=7321&Ntt=oolitic&Ntk=All&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Np=1&N=2004&Nty=1) and mixing the two sands together?

Right now I don't have any first... just LR and some soft coral.

Man... if I could do this all over I would get that oolitic sand... looks sharp.

Also - as far as the FUGE goes. For the LS.... Fiji Pink Sand (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=7318&N=2004+113554) would seem to be a good choice.... thoughts?
