In my opinion its a waste of money. Why buy a product which is going to occur natuarly anyway. Review the following thread for peoples opinions on this product...

Purple up is such a waste of money. Best bet if you want some coraline algae growth is to find Kent Marine Kalkwasser. Kalkwasser is the best thing for adding Calcium to the tank, Which is what Coraline algae, corals and Inverts need to grow healthy. Save your money DONT buy purple up.

it works well...but its a waste...just make sure ur calcium and ph are good and it will grow just as fast.

I've used it and it works well. I'd never buy it again however as there are much better (and cheaper) alternatives.
