I started last month with 4 longfin gold zebra danios, 3 sunburst wag platies and 3 sunburst mickey mouse platies in my 60 gallon tank. When the nitrate tested zero I added 2 panda cory cats and 2 otocinclus.
Today I added 2 more panda corys, 2 otocinclus and 2 longfin zebra danios. WOW! What a difference. The corys are covering every square inch of the tank bottom, the danios are a wild swarm of crazy fish, and the otos keep darting from place to place. They even join in with the danios sometimes. The platies are mostly oblivious to the party going on, but they are a little bit excited by the algae tablets that I dropped in for the cats
