Okay, the light strips I got with my used 90G were all hacked up to try to cram extra light in. Since I am making a full canopy, I decided to replace the lighting.

I have decided on a 4x55 Compact Flourescent setup from AHSupply.com They were very helpful on making recommendation on lighting as well as suggestions for my canopy.

The question is what kind of bulbs to light the tanks with. Stocking is as follows:

12 Marble Hatchets
24 Red-Eye Tertras
6 Emerald Green Corys
Pink Kissing Gourami
Common Pleco

Christmas Wall and Christmas Moss Driftwood
3 Java Ferns
7 Ludwigia Ripens

The tank currently has 2 - 55W Acintics (Rear)and 2 - 55W Generic Bulbs (Front). The lighting level could use to be a touch brighter and the colors are good, but the new light setup should take care of that with the same wattage.

What bulbs should I be using? Is what I have fine or should I switch to different spectrum, etc?

Bulbs anywhere from 6500k-10,000k will work for a FW tank. The actinics aren't doing too much for you.
