Need some help

I have a saltwater tank that has been set up for 9 months now. Everything is goin well for the most part.
Seems that this is dying? The stems are turning green. Is this normal? How can I check it and fix it?

Also the coral started growing a brown plant "afro" looking thing. Is this normal? What is it?

looks liek algae over groeth. on the first coral for sure. gorgorians cant be under light they cant fight off algae and slowly get over grown and rot underneath

Clean the algae off the gorgonian whenever you see it.

The tissue will recede from the algae. Clean, clean, clean.

Try positioning a powerhead to blow over it should help, but not too strong.
