How long should it take for this stuff to work? My tank level was around 2.5 on tuesday so I bought a pot of this and put it in filter on thursday. My level today is just below 2.5 still - got crappy test kit, will need to get better one - any recommendations?
Are you using it passively with just netting sitting in the tank?
Did you get the phosphate reactor to go with it? You want that or something like it.
The flow-thru of the reactor works best. You can adjust the water flowing in enough to pass water through the media, but not enough for it to grind into powder. Just a bubbling effect.
Your corals will grow considerably faster from the absense of phosphate.
I have 2 on my 180 and my corals started to grow really quickly.
