I have tried 3 times now to make a c02 recipe and it never works, i am using 2cups white granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon brewers yeast in a 2 litre pop bottle about 2/3 full of water each time i let it sit for at least 24 hours and it never produces anything, i have takin everything off for now till i get a mix workin so it just runs from the bottle to a airstone in the tank, everything is siliconed and air tight but it never seems to produce c02

with DIY CO2 even tiny leaks can cause the whole thing to fail. Try putting soapy water over every connection to check for leaks. Your yeast might also be bad. Does the solution foam after a day or two?

i've checked a bunch of times but i can't find any leaks anywhere as i said it just goes straight from the bottle to that tank so i can get a good recipe working then i will put my bubble counter back in so the only thing that could be leaking is the cap of the bottle but i've made sure it's not, i used the small hole method and also put silicone on the tube, and the treads and checked for leaks but nothing.

The room temp is betwwen 75 and 80

Heres how I do my recipe.

2 cups sugar
1/2 to 3/4 bottle extremely warm water
1/4 tsp yeast

I put the sugar in the bottle, put hot water in, cap the bottle and shake it really well. I let the bottle sit for a bit til it cools and I can put my finger in it comfortably, I then add the yeast, cap the bottle, give it ONE shake, then hook it to my reactor. I have also used a teaspoon of molasses with the sugar, seemed to make the co2 produce a few days longer. Within 3 hours I have co2 going into my tank.

I keep the yeast in my freezer. Check the date on yours and make sure its not expired.

I'm pretty sure you have the wrong stuff. I don't think its active. It's a nutritional supplement.

You want bread yeast. It'll be in the baking aisle of the grocery store.

Yes, it sounds like the wrong stuff. Stuff labeled brewers yeast is a nutritional supplement.

Use active yeast from the grocery store or better yet, champagne yeast from a homebrew store.
