I know a lot is said about over stocking with fish, but what about over stocking with corals is there a limit?

just thought - you may want to move this to reef section.

that depends how much you are feeding them. If you have somethign you are feeding often, then absolutly there is. but if you jsut have xenia or anythign else that you arent adding food in your tank specificly for the coral, then nope. :)

Corals compete for space more than anything and they will tell you by deteriating quickly if they are too close to someone else. If water params fall because of underfiltration or poor maintenance then all corals will suffer. Most mature reef tanks are densely packed after 8 years.

Not entirely sure yet, just thought I'd ask before I started getting my hopes up!!! Am going to wait until I'm 100% happy that my tank is running properly due to my recent PHOSPHATE problems.
